Welcome to my blog! Read on for more information about this organizing blog.
Who am I?
I’m Bridget! I’m a recovering perfectionist and DIY organizer. I’ve spent my work life organizing professional offices. My own home life was well organized until my brilliant-but-disorganized husband took over home management responsibilities during a particularly difficult period of our lives. I have since taken steps to get our home organized and in order after resuming my role as our home and family’s caretaker.
Why am I blogging? What will I blog about?
After having a number of loved ones suggest that I share my organizing talents in a blog, I decided to begin this blog. My intention is ultimately to create a plan and path to total home and life organization. In addition to tips, challenges, and calendars, I’ll offer a few free printables, some paid printables, and a few products to help people get their homes in order.
Eventually, when my daughter is older, I hope to become a certified professional organizer.
My goal is to post on this blog at least weekly. Eventually, I’ll be present on various social media outlets on a daily basis, but I’ll be focusing on this blog for now.
Whom am I blogging for?
Whether you are man or woman, 25 or 65 (or younger or older or in between!), single or married, no kids or fifteen, and no matter how little or how much clutter you have, if you have any area of your life you’d like to get control of–paper, finances, digital assets, or tangible items or maybe even your health–I intend to ensure that you will find something helpful on this blog.
Maybe you are where I’ve been. I’ve spent hours looking for a piece of paper I knew I saw two weeks prior. I’ve gone months without balancing my checkbook. I’ve fallen behind on medical bills because I had forgotten about them. I’ve lost library books–my husband has even returned library books to the wrong library! I know getting your life organized and in order can be daunting and overwhelming. But I also know you would love to reclaim some of your time to take a nap, read a book, garden, ride your bike, go hiking, travel, or perhaps just play video games. You can find the time to do more of what you love by simplifying your life. I hope to help by posting the methods and tools I’ve found helpful and by pointing out the problems with some I found flawed.
How can you get motivated or involved?
If you’ve stuck with me this far, I definitely encourage you to comment on this blog. I encourage you to follow me and post on my blog’s Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts. Introduce yourself. Please post your victories (before and after pictures!) and let me know when you need encouragement. I need encouragement some days, too. Also tell me what has worked for you and what hasn’t during your journey to clutter-free or clutter-less.
What are my blogging goals?
I hope to make this blog the ultimate resource about getting one’s life organized and in order. I’m passionate about organizing and helping others reclaim time, sanity, and their lives. I hope you’ll find information you can use on this blog.
Let me hear from you!
I’d love to know what your biggest struggle with organization is so that I can help. Please either leave me a comment letting me know what you’re having difficulty with below or contact me and send me an e-mail.
